heartless

The nature of student-centered classrooms is that you as the instructor are no longer the main source for answers. This endlessly frustrates students, who will probably be used to more direct types of instruction. The result is that they will frequently get mad at you for not conforming to what they see as a teacher’s role. Try not to let this upset you. Talk to other people who have had similar experiences - despite the students’ rebellion, they can come out of the class liking you and appreciating what you’ve done for them.
